USC trounces Illinois 49-17 in Rose Bowl
The loose balls? Southern California came up with them. Those crazy plays? They all went USC's way, too. The Trojans were every bit as good as advertised and the Rose Bowl was even more lopsided than expected. Freshman tailback Joe McKnight finished with 170 of USC's 633 yards in a record-setting romp Tuesday, 49-17 over outmatched Illinois.   People:Reggie Bush   Activities:2007 National College Football   2008-01-02

Hester, Bears end Saints' season again

Hester sprinted 64 yards for a touchdown on a punt return, his NFL-record sixth kick runback for a score this season to break his own mark set a year ago. He also caught a 55-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Orton as the Chicago Bears beat the Saints 33-25 on Sunday.   People:Marques Colston Robbie Gould Brian Urlacher Devin Hester Reggie Bush Drew Brees   Activities:2007 NFL   2007-12-30
