Iran defiant as Obama warns of 'consequences'
TEHRAN (AFP) - Iran vowed to continue enriching uranium despite a wrist slap by the UN nuclear watchdog, as US President Barack Obama warned of "consequences" Tuesday if Tehran refused to come clean on its atomic programme.

Iran tells U.N. it wants nuclear fuel first: envoys
UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Iran has told the U.N. nuclear watchdog it wants fresh fuel for a reactor in Tehran before it will agree to ship most of its enriched uranium stocks to Russia and France, diplomats said Friday.

Iran to deliver response on uranium deal Thursday
TEHRAN (AFP) - Iran will deliver on Thursday its much-awaited response to a UN-brokered nuclear deal under which it would export low-enriched uranium for conversion into fuel for a medical research reactor, the Mehr news agency said.
